Capriccio Montasio DOP made from skimmed unpasteurised cow’s milk from Treviso in Northern Italy.  Similar to Swiss cheese, it is firm in texture yet mild, delicate and somewhat fruity in flavour.
Type: Semi-soft
Age: 40 days
Texture: Smooth
Colour: Pale straw yellow in colour and pitted with tiny holes.
Flavour: Full and creamy flavour
Aroma: Fresh
How to use: Traditionally it is used for making frico, or fried cheese. It also makes a flavourful fondue.
Pairings: Berry jams, sliced pear and grapes, and pasta and risotto. As well with good wines like sauvignon blanc wine and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo wine.
Country of Origin: Product of Italy.
